AMT Founder Catherine, together with colleagues Sarah Ludlow and Alexandra Quinn, decided that a Burmese dinner club would be a great idea to get friends and supporters together in a convivial atmosphere, to raise funds for the Trust and awareness of Burma. The BURMESE NIGHTS idea was born, and the inaugural event will be held on the evening of September 10th in the Islington Metalworks in London.
A Burmese menu has been created exclusively for the Trust, which will be downloadable for anyone to use in the future to host their own BURMESE NIGHTS in aid of the Trust.
Our first event will raise funds exclusively for flood victims in Burma. Hundreds of thousands of Burmese are currently affected by the heavy monsoon rainfall, with the government appealing for international aid. We want to do what we can to support, and we aim to raise at least £5,000 at BURMESE NIGHTS.
Please do come: tickets are available here.
